The longer pitch...

Climate change is a massive problem

We're on track to raise global temperatures 2.7°C above pre-industrial levels by 2100. Practically our entire way of modern life is powered by burning fossil fuels that emit heat-trapping greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2). Earth is already 1.1°C warmer than it was in the late 1800s.

The consequences of just these few degrees warming are devastating, particularly for people in poorer countries: intense droughts, severe fires, rising sea levels, catastrophic storms and declining biodiversity.

The 2015 UN Paris Climate Accords targeted limiting global warming to 1.5°C to avoid the worst effects. This requires us to halve our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030... and we aren't anywhere close to achieving this.

We need an organized solution

Every year more and more of us support policy changes and personal action on climate. We're switching to plant-based diets, biking more, living zero waste, going solar, and so much more. But we need a framework for understanding how our individual changes like this can add up to effective change. We need a standardized and efficient way to track greenhouse gas emissions at every level.

We want to speak the same language on climate because we know it will help us band together and achieve greater change. We have access to powerful technology that can enable these insights and we want to take ownership of the environmental impact that we're responsible for.
